Then came along the complete collection of the inspiration behind my drawings. Perfect cut and it all looks very constructible. Why haven’t anyone thought of it, in the first place? Love the placement of embelishments and its diamante stroke a very powerful message “Balmain is here to rule!”. Balmain’s coolest ever Fall collection by Christophe Decarmin. An applause for him.
Balmain Intuition

i am feeling very drowsy during work time last friday, due to the unfailing stacks of work and i’m already in the mood for a long weekend holiday.. So, to break free from the sleepy state, i decided to take a break. i grabbed myself a pen to sketch out any image that pops out of my tired brain that time. It has been quite some time since i last draw. Then came out these drawings, an inspiration from the Balmain’s collection that i saw in blackcoffeecrumbs some time ago. i did a little combination of bubble skirts + diamante + diamante peeptoe booties. You can also replace those diamante with metal studs for a bolder touch. Basically, i just love how the embelishments were constructed. i only managed to produce three drawings at that time and i will have more uploaded soon, if i am able too :D

A common mix-matching style on its own and with a substance. DSquared² always offers a series of youthful & free-spirited collection that usually looks casual & chic.

i would probably conclude that these are very safe designs and easy to look at.

One thing special about this collection was the enormous ruffles used to build up some volume to the outfit. Although, laces were used in this collection, but it does not overly portrays a romantic effect but rather a serious one. Not forgetting the hats, it reminded me of the old English days. Instead, this accessory softens the entire outlook. Nice one.

Simplicity at its peak, yet undeniably beautiful to the eyes. i needed a break from those heavy-geared collections in my previous posts :D Not quite really, my eyes never gets tired of fashion. What am i babbling about then?? The only catalyst to my tiredness was work work work nothing but work! i wished to break free from my daily work rituals, sometimes.. :D and i am going to, very soon! Just can’t wait for my trip to the city with the family ( blackcoffeecrumbs & mutemode ) though i will be missing Raven so much till that i am sure i can’t be fully concentratingon my shopping. We’re leaving her at the Vet’s hotel for a day : ( and i am starting to miss her already. That’s so pathetic! Well, its a matter of survival now, and of course i must give priority to shop! :D See ya!

Antonio Berrardi Fall 2009 RTW Collection (Image Source: Style.com)
It has been a while since i last visited Vogue.co.uk & Style.com for fashion industry updates. Most of my favourite designer picks for this FW 2009 season are based on what i knew and seen during my days back in 2000 to 2005. The long-separation was due to the extensive focus on my career & studies. Now i’m back. :D To name a few of my favourites, Alexander Dell’Acqua, Alberta Ferretti, Andrew GN, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Carlos Miele, Carolina Herrera, Chacarel, Chanel, Christian Dior, Diane Von Furstenberg, Dries Van Noten, Dolce & Gabbana, Elie Saab, Emanuel Ungaro, Fendi, Jill Stuart, Jill Sander, Givenchy, Lanvin, Marc Jacobs, Marni, Michael Kors, Oscar De La Renta, Paul Smith, Rebecca Taylor, Stella McCartney, Valentino, YSL. i admit that i was a bit puzzled & lost to see that there are tremendeously huge list of new & upcoming brands & designers in just a few years time.
Love the sequins construction in monochromes, furs, broad-shoulders-crop-jackets. In a glance, it somehow looked like the Balmain’s but not as edgy, instead i feel its a little bolder. Could have probably due to the wearer’s (models) size. They are not too overly emaciated. The equation for this is ‘confidence’ + ‘courage’ = ‘elegance’. : )

A round-up on my shoe closet as promised in my BE the BEst post. Most of them are from NOSE & Vincci because they are the only fashion shoe stores that are available in Kuantan, where i am living now. Thank God there’s Internet technology! Anyway, those drawings are my drafts. i used to draw during my free-time. They are not as good as Wendy’s of blackcoffeecrumbs . She’s a fashion designer and she draws a lot. Be sure to visit her blog to see more of professional drawings. Bye for now~
